How can plant scientists change the world?

Can you help us to find the 100 most important questions facing plant science?

Plant science is helping to address many of the big issues facing society today, such as food security, bioenergy, and the effects of climate change, but what are the key questions that you think the next generation of plant scientists should be addressing?

During 2008 and 2009 you kindly submitted nearly 400 questions online. In April 2009 a panel representing the academic, commercial, and public service communities that produce or benefit from plant science research selected 100 questions from those submitted.

A paper outlining the final list of 100 is currently being written, and we hope that this will inform scientific, political and social agendas in the coming years.

We thank William Sutherland and colleagues for inspiration (http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/118732590/abstract).
